I've started stripping the spaire engine down for my 1100, I was told when I picked them up that they were just normal 1275 pre A+ engines.
Now I've started stripping one down, I've found that one of them had already been decked and has been bored out to 1380 already! ;D
All the shells are pretty shaged, but these were to be changed anyway. What colour should an old crank be? Mine seems to be grey... do you think it might have been treated?
Any who...
The cam...
A bit vauge, but what can you say?
From what I gather, most A series cams come stamped with a part number or some kind of makers mark, but mine is only stamped 'KS'.
It's from a 1300GT block (11stud)
Tiz a spider drive oil pump.
And as said above, it 'is stamped KS at the pully end.
From measureing the hight on the lobes, It would appear to have just under 10mm of lift... Is this alot, or just normal?
Any help appreciated
