recall the tow from wales and the subsequent change of carb diaphragm, plugs, condensor and points. it ran perfect for a couple of days.
Yesterday morning I went to fire it up and sounds like a tank, misfiring badly barely drivable. Came back from work, changed the dizzy cap, HT and LT leads (all bosch) and the rotor arm. It fired up, coughed some shet out and gradually got better. After half hour and a drive round the block it was back to normal not missing a tick.
I topped the tank with BP premium and some valvemaster, park the car go to have dinner, come back and wollah, its pulling the same curse word. Nobody touched the car meanwhile. Only now I have misfire in exhaust manifold AND intake manifold. It won't start, or if it does it ticks over for a second and couple bad bangs and it cuts. I whipped couple of plugs out, they look dry.
I did all Mr Hyenes asked and more, fuel is OK, nothing blocked in carb, no icing, everything in ignition system minus the coil is brand new, and I also riched the mixture.
so why is the old boy giving me such a hard ride?
