all of a sudden my indicators are not working not working through indicator stalk or the hazard light switch .
checked all 6 indicator bulbs ,all appear to be fine . i cant hear the relay clicking either ,swapped it with another relay off a renault 19 which has the same markings on it . still no joy. finally checking with a multimeter ,the relay gets a feed .
any ideas ??

Dirty contacts, or maybe a faulty stalk/switch.
Only a guess though , i hate electrics!

:)It could be a faulty hazard lamp switch. On nearly all cars the hazard lamps AND the indicators are wired in such a way that if the hazard light switch is faulty the normal indicators won't work.

I may be boloking here, but also check the relay earth connection. If the relay has no earth connection it won't work. If the earth connection is through the body, rust might have developed around the connection etc...

:)I would try very quickly switching on and off the hazard lights repeatedly. Sounds bodgy but often that switch isn't used much and the internal contacts become dodgy. [is that a rhyme? ]. Be quite brutal with it, hammer the switch on and off with your finger very quickly!

Been having similar problems with the horn, indicators and winscreen wash pump on my car. All but the horn sorted now... i sourced it was the cigar lighter that was causing the problem for the windscreen pump and the indicator spades just needed a good clean. Just need to sort the horn now.
