Model: Subaru Impreza WRX
Year: 1994
Mileage: 80,000
Tax: February 2014
MOT: August 2014
Location: Wirral
Price: £1300
I have owned this for a few months now.
The car runs/drives superb with no faults.
It was imported in 2002 and was well looked after with service history and a binder of receipts, including import papers, etc. It has the aluminium boot, bonnet, and whatever else, a rear screen wiper, etc. The alloy wheels are standard for the car, are completely straight and have Kumho Ecsta's with loads of tread.
It is standard throughout - apart from the typical large bore exhaust direct from the turbo. I've not seen another Impreza without a large exhaust, and tbh the Impreza sound is quite nice.
It has a double DIN Kenwood stereo (from the late 90's). I know nothing about stereos, but would say this was top end, with a graphic equaliser, head unit and a Nikkai amp in the boot, with all speakers inside replaced with Kenwood ones. It's a professional fit with all the wires hidden and the amp mounted out of the way. The interior is very tidy, and it has the standard Impreza mats.
I recently replaced the front brakes, as they were both nearly down to the metal. Electric aerial, retractable wing mirrors, air con, heater - everything works on the car. The car has a Sigma alarm system with one fob. It also has a tracker, though I don't know anything about, or where it is!! Brakes stop car, handbrake clamps on a few notches, etc.
There is a only a single bit of rust on the car, and that's a small 5p shaped chip which is succumbing to surface rust on the rear wing. I will try to get round to painting this, but could be done easily with a touch up pen. It has a bit of lacquer peel on the front driver's side arch (where it meets the bonnet). It also needs a wheel bearing replacing on the nearside rear, which I will do before sale as I already bought the bearing. For some reason, the steering wheel doesn't have the Nardi badge, which was removed at some point, so I put a WRX badge in it's place. The previous owner sprayed some of the engine in silver. Why? I don't know. I ahve to replace a bulb in the rear clusters as well (reverse light and brake light). ALSO, the rear fuel filler pipe had rusted. These go on nearly every single Impreza I've seen - I replaced it with an aluminium pipe that fit lovely, and it no longer leaks at all!
It polishes up very well
The car is very fast, gets good economy 35mpg max doing motorway driving. If you've wanted an Impreza, this is a pretty good one with a good body and running gear. The price is pretty good considering how clean the body/engine running well is.
Located on the Wirral or Coventry through the week (maybe). I've had an HPi check clear and I'm waiting on the log book (previous owner only recently sent off lol), will be here next week. I had this on ebay last month, but realised I hadn't had the logbook through - I cancelled until the end of September (as it's easier to sell at the end of the month).
Just want a sale, so please no comments on wanting the car and not having any money, etc, or in fact out-and-out time wasters of leading me on for weeks and then realising your ADHD or Asperger's got the better of you, I really don't want to deal with timewasters on this car as it's a bit of a idiot-magnet anyway! Thanks!
I have loads of photos, reply with request or pm me for more. Would swap for something interesting and re-sellable (ie no Golfs/Passats/Mondeos).
