Hi, can anyone recommend a Retro friendly MOT station in the Birmingham area? I'm hoping to get the Viva tested next week and would like to take it somewhere that will not be confused by the fact that it has; Only one wing mirror, no hazard warning switch (optional extra no reversing light no rear fog light no handbrake warning light As far as I can tell none of the above are failures

Looking for one myself.
I know a garage that is next door to where my dad works who is a sound bloke. My dad was saying the other week that he thinks he's doing MOT's now. I will find out the name of the place, but its something like MLH Autos near Cookoo Bridge in Aston.

it may be a bit of a trek but eagle autos in banbury would pass it on those things. its just off junction 11 of the m40. they passed my buggy on all of the above (except the one wing mirror, mine didnt have/need any). plus they're nice people which helps!

Where abouts in Birmingham are you? I've always used a place in Great Bridge near West Bromwich, if thats not too far then PM me and I will go and find out the phone number. I normally just go down there to book MOT's so don't know the number or even the name of the place!

Mill Garage in Kings Norton (I think that's what it comes under). 0121 486 3486. Used to take my 2CV there all the time. Very understanding.

To be honest if those are the only things you're worried about I think any MOT tester who questions them should go and read they're book....
