Sounds like the drop has wazzed up the geometry at the front, i'd get the tracking and camber checked, or do a bulk buy of Uzbek Liquorice remoulds.

You will have changed the camber. You'll get odd squeal and odd tyre wear. You can dial it out a bit by adjusting the caster sometimes but this is why they sell offset upper arms and adjustable strut top mounts... Putting the camber back...

maybe! You have also to take into account the thing is 5 decades old more or less so stuff will have settled in all manner of ways. Its McPhearson strut isn't it, I never got the cmaber change issues on them, except for a couple of Capris I never really messed with McP struts.

Going on the front suspension on mine the tracking has probably gone out. When I lowered my 100E and Anglia on stock suspension it made the front tyres point inwards at the front.

I don't think I've ever had a screeching issue after lowering a car. I've had bumps, crashes, grinds, binds, thumps, hums, drums and scrapes - but never screeches.

lofltits.... !! how about a trail of oil after holing the sump on a speed bump !? Truthfully no, the whole speed bump wrecking lowered cars thing is over-publisised IMO, most cars I've had have sumps on (or near as) the axle line, meaning that the sump goes up with the suspension. Exhausts however are another matter and tyres seem to be the major expenditure on properly low cars in my experience.

I get lovely lightshows from my exhaust touching the deck at speed on the Alfa, looks great when going for a late night touge-style run over the hills Never screeches, however.
