I have been thinking about selling my cavalier for a little while now to get something different, fancied a change of car.
I am now selling the cavalier as a project to someone due to last nights circumstances.
Unfortunately last night some thieving little bast**d(s) attempted to steal it, they failed miserably and ended up leaving it about 50 meters down the road with a bit of damage;
They've taken off the lock on the door, so that will need replacing, also they have taken off the barrel so an ignition barrel will be needed too.
This could be an easy fix for someone, I'm not a mechanic and can't afford to get the car fixed at a garage, plus this has caused some serious disheartenment and I really can't fork out to sort the old girl out.
If I went through insurance then the car would be classed as a write off, and for such small damage I would rather not curse the car, but rather it go to a good home and get fixed up.
The car starts and runs fine as it always did, it just needs firing up with wires rather than the key.
It loses no water or oil and just drove me and my friend to Blackburn from Sunderland and back two days ago perfectly.
The milage is genuine and I have lots of mot's and history to prove this, it has had a new mohair roof in 2010, which is still in great condition.
I even have the original receipt and owners manual for her.
Bad bits:
There is very minimal surface rust which has to be looked for to be seen, very minimal and nothing serious at all.
The idle valve sensor is a little bit temperamental and sometimes on cold mornings the idle will sit at about 600/700rpm. It never really bothered me and it has never affected the way she drove.
The clock lights don't work, everything else does so 95% sure it's just a bulb, if it's not that then it's a fuse, but I think that's unlikely.
The cav is worth 1300/1400 on steels if the issues were sorted, and more on the bbs, which are probably worth 300 with tyres.
Interior is all original and in very good condition including cassette player and radio which all works, the seats are in great condition bar a small hole which has been worn by the seatbelt, I have patched this up to stop it getting worse.
If you have any more questions please feel free to give me a ring/text on 07825181892
I have the standard exhaust, spare wing mirrors, timing belts, and ecu, relays, dizzy cap, rear lights, headlight covers and countless other spares worth a good chunk of money which I will put in with the sale.
I genuinely just want the old girl to sell to someone who can take good care of her and sort out the issues caused by that horrible ****
