Hi ppl just a quick Pinto question
Can camshaft oil seals be bought individually to save me having to buy another complete head set.
And how are you meant to fit the bloody things
To cut a long story short I took the head off to change the valve stem seals and just generally check it over, got it off ok (first time removing a cylinder head ) and stripped and cleaned it. Started to reassemble it and when I came to fit a new camshaft oil seal it all went wrong (
The haynes manual said just use a large socket and mallet to tap it into place, this didn't work though so I tried using the large socket and a G clamp to force it into place, which then wrecked the seal
If the seals can be bought seperately would a local motor factor stock them?
