ah-ha, I have not the struts, and the cars not powerful enough to need the big spindles, so I used 323i calipers on standard 02 legs and 316 hubs to mount the 323i discs. I'd heard the 535i brakes make good stoppers.
if your stuck for calipers, e23 7 series and e24 6's of certain vintages fit, but you wont be able to use the 4 line front brakes, as e23/4s use single caliper lines. I know a man with an 02 turbo front brake setup, think he'd want amazing ammounts for it tho...
