So I went scurrying off to find more info because A) It looks awesome and B) I'd never heard of Goliath cars.
Turns out they are pretty interesting and ahead of their time. Goliath were part of the Borgward group, which bought us the lovely Isabella.
This is a Goliath GP700
It was powered by a 2 stroke engine and was front wheel drive. It is important as it was one of the first "three box" design cars.
Then there is the 1100
Which had a slightly larger engine and some lovely new styling
The original find was one of these in estate format
And then.... and then there is this ...
