Well... we braved potentially absurdly curse word weather, and made the 2hr trek over the hills to the East of the North Island, over to Masterton for the final drag meet of the season, run at a converted airfield.
Generally get a good turnout here - from old muscle cars through to the latest whizbang "imports" (personally... I hate that term) running serious turbo tech and so forth. Of course, I took my camera with me.....

As the plate says.... Donovan 372ci allot block V8, with two substantially sized Garrett hybrid huffers cramming it full of boost!
This was actually a TOW car for one of the racers!

Garrett GT60 living on the side of a quad rotor made from 13B housings and endplates. Over 1300rwhp on that.... it's tucked under a Mazda 323 SP20 body over a tubeframe.

...I wanna go home! ;D,and the sight of all that old iron actually being used is just grwat.They only see action here on special days and at boring car shows. The 'Q'uey with grey primer is unheard of here,the local ASRF won't even consider rat rods...
