For sale my jag XJ sport on LPG. The car has a cream leather interior with some wear/cracking. The paint is not perfect, there are a few areas that would benefit from a touch up and on close inspection there are a number of stone chips on the front bumper. The car comes with lots of history and has no known mechanical faults
I have just spent £400 on its most recent MOT as the car required some welding to the sills and rear inner arch. Other jobs included new front brake hoses and new rear bushes. I have also recently fitted a new battery.
The car has a 60 liter tank located in the spare wheel well. It costs £30 to fill the tank which will get you just under 200 miles. The car will start straight on gas although in the cold weather it will start on petrol and switch over once the system has some heat in it.
the service book has been stamped up to 110k and it has been looked after since with regular services. the last service was around 3000 miles ago. for its next service the rear brake pads are starting to look a bit low so would benefit from being replaced. It had a gearbox rebuild a couple of years ago by the previous owner but I have no paperwork to support this. There is no rattling from the engine and it runs very smoothly.
The LPG kit is a REG Dream XXI multi point sequential system and runs perfectly. a few months ago the car had a brand new higher quality vaporizer fitted at the cost of £280 and a check up with a clean bill of health. It is on the LPG register and was fitted by a reputable supplier.
The car has AC, CD changer, Rear parking sensors, cream leather (sports trim), electric windows,c ruise control, automatic headlights
The car also has a professionally fitted Parrot 3200ls hands free kit installed which is a fantastic accessory to have.
The bad bits -
Heater does not blow hot air - the pump and heater valve have both been changed recently so this is believed to be a blockage in the heater core. I have not had time to have this flushed and since the warm weather has arrived I have put off having this fixed.
The window wiper sometimes stutters whilst wiping the windows. This can be fixed by re-soldering the contacts in the wiper. I have not fixed this as it has not been a major issue.
The alarm sensors can be a bit sensitive so I have started to lock the car in the first setting without the interior sensors to stop the alarm from going off unexpectedly. The sensors can be recalibrate.
On close inspection there are a number of areas of the paint work that are not perfect. There is a scuff on the front bumper corner. A patch of lacquer fade on one of the rear C pillars by the roof. There is a crack in the paint between the rear window and the boot lid and the n/s front wing looks a little dull on the top. from a distance the car looks fine and it still shines after a clean and looks good for a car of its age.
