as above really ive always wanted a garage so I gave my self a budget off 500pounds so far ive spent 70pounds the rest has been donated by ether freecycle or friends or neighbours.
I started off with a base frame using light breeze blocks then built a basic frame using 4x2 with roof battons at a slope for rain to roll off. the ouside is recycled pallets and the inside will be 12mm ply and the roof will be done with corrugated sheets.
the sizes off wood are not accurate and even tho it looks like a sore thumb it will keep the car dry and i can do more on it next year
so far the sides are up apart from 3 sections
the front where the main garage doors will be has a frame off 8x4
the roof has ten 8x4 beams
I have the double glazed windows in and a double glazed door
now heres my problem but please bare in mind ive never worked with wood before so its all trial and error
the whole frame slightly moves at the top from left to right so I cant open the door I need to know where to put in supports and where
if I push the frame from the top left to the right I can them open the door
thats as far as ive got also the inside concrete base is not done yet as I thought id do this last as I need the rest up first before the british weather kicks in and I'm doing it for a couple off hours a week
thanks
