Welcome to my for sale ad.....
Let me first start with a little bit about the car. I had always wanted one and one day after selling my range rover I decided an ebay assault was due. A car(shed) was bought and collected and I was very pleased with myself, the car was to all intents and purposes an absolute shed that I paid far too much for just because I wanted it (havent we all). It needed a new turbo, gearbox, new front bumper, general tidying. Fast Forward 6 months all the jobs are done and I need to move it on so I can scratch an Audi S4 itch.
External, Wheels And Suspension
Quadlight Conversion and debadged grille
2 x Advan 3 piece splits (so JDM it hurts)
4 x Toms wheels not sure on style but cool looking all the same
Full set of Apexi 2 way adjustable Coilovers
Apexi pillowball adjustable top mounts
JDM Standard Tints all round
Engine and Gearbox
Standard 1.3 Block and 16 valve head
Toyosports 4 branch TD04 Manifold with TD04 turbo from a classic Impreza
External Wastegate and Screamer pipe
2.5” Blitz De-cat
2.5” Apexi Middle section
4” Slash cut Apexi Back Box
8mm Magnecore Competition Leads (These made a huge difference when I fitted them)
Uprated Fuel pump and Fuel pressure regulator (Yet to be fitted as will need a light map afterward)
Toyosports Front Mount Intercooler and Hardpipe kit
Pipercross Air Filter relocated to behind the headlight for better flow.
Apexi AVCR electronic Boost controller and Boost gauge
HKS turbo Timer
Only running 0.7 bar of boost as I drive it every day I don’t want to worry about blowing it up. Realistic BHP would be around 160-170. With the fuel setup fitted 0.9 bar and a decent remap probably looking for around 200-210. After this the only thing that would stop you form getting stupid power would be the bottom end. With a forged bottom end these things go over 300 BHP all day. Quite why you would want to do that I'm not sure but....
No dyno printouts
Things I have changed in the last 6 Months
New (to me) TD04 with wastegate welded shut. The last one the guy had just removed the actuator it flapped like a dogs danglies in the wind.
Gearbox, Standard box but is much crisper than the last one. 2nd and 3rd were crunchy and the whole box was notchy and horrid. When I replaced the gearbox I did intend to change the clutch at the same time but it was as new so I left it.
2 oil services
3 Wheel Bearings
There are probably a few other little bits of tidying that I have forgotten....
General car good bits.....
It has 6 months or so MOT and I can put 12 on for the buyer if required.
It has 4 good Tyres one replaced this week.
Can be driven home and then to work with no work I have been using it as a daily for 6 months
On our way to the gathering it did 31mpg (400km for £50). It will go as high as 40 but its too boring.
It has a CD player and 6x9 speakers for tunes
It has 5 seat and belts
Bad Points
Roof paint is typical JDM wibblepoo. It has faded and peeled. Never bothered me as I’m kind of a function over form bloke. Body is generally tatty. Nothing major but it will never be a show car.
Tracking is out but local place won’t do it because it is too low
Overall a great car with loads of potential as a cool fastish daily. I will have a short service done for the new owner s peace of mind. My name is Alex give me a call on the number above or email me on frst1900 at gmail dot com if you have any questions or would like to arrange a viewing. This car would break for over the asking price if I have the time or the inclination (Which I don't)
