An `80s motor with a commodore 64 installed would be ok, I suppose, especially if the car is in the same shade of beige as the `64s casing. If you popped in the casette at the beginning of your journey the game might be loaded by the time you get to the supermarket

There are whole forums about this. I've seen some neat ones done.
I was going to do one in one of my cars once, with a 80 GB hard drive and a wireless ALAN update from the house to shove my MP3s on there and all that. Then I just got an iPod instead.

couple of guys on brickyard forum have done it, (that's a VW T25 forum BTW), can't say more cos it bored the t1ts off me.

My dad built a carputer about ten years ago. He did quite a neat job and it all fitted under the passenger seat of his 406. It was more or less a desktop machine in an MDF box with a 12 power adapter and a numeric keypad to change tracks.
