1989 blue & silver Daihatsu Sportrak
Vitara sized 4x4, 3 door
Part time 4 wheel drive
Proper transfer box with low range
Manual locking front hubs
1600 petrol
5 speed
MOT December

I bought this as a stop gap in February when it was still snowing. I've done several thousand miles in it and apart from the rust it's great. Yes the rust, the rear crossmember is rotten and one rear damper mount needs attention. The body is holed where the floor meets the rear wheel arch tubs but not too badly.
The carbed engine is good with no flat spots. The gearbox was a bit noisy in top but I changed the oil and no metal came out, it's now pretty quiet, low range is fine. The rear diff leaks, I changed the oil and just topped it up every 1000 miles. New fuel filter. Newish plugs and leads.
It's now for sale as we have Discovery to keep me busy and the wife happy. Personally I prefer driving this to the Discovery, I rekon it's better off-road and definitely better on-road. It certainly uses less petrol.. It does need welding to be safe on the road but everything thing else is good and working.
If you do want anything off it ask away. I have a near complete red & silver spares car and other bits available
