Strange- I've been looking at 7 series and there's not much in it for me, not much more than my Volvo 240 for a BMW 740 either strangely.
Most of my mileage was B roads or town when I had mine and I seem to remember unless I did a decent run the mpg whatsit sat at just under 20mpg, but a steady motorway run (sub 70mph) would nudge it to just under 30mpg.
My transport prior to the Jaaaaaaag was a '62 Land Rover 88" diesel so even with knackered bushes it felt like a magic carpet compared to that!
