So I'm looking around for a nice steering wheel for the car. I don't want an 'RS' wheel, as they all seem to be un-dished, over priced and over-done. Show us pic's of the 'big control' in you car and why you chose it. ;D and some cool car pics for inspiration ;D (because the oof thread is still broken and I'm feelin' nice )

I'd go for an Astrali (the best choice IHMO) or a Mountney - excellent grip, comfortable, availiable in a variety of diameters and dishes Putting an Astrali in the V8 mind - just for the heritage Much the same though! Also do black ones!

Astrali/Mountey are a good choice. Moto-Lita do some great wheels as do Nardi. You pay for them though.
I also like some of the Momo wheels for a more modern look.
I have the stock wheel in all of mine.
I might put a repro "Tuff Wheel" in the Chrysler, or a Moon 'flake one or a Grant chain link...

ive got a budnik wheel for the bug you may struggle to find Astrali, as far as I'm aware they went under 12 month+ ago. Ive never been the biggest Mountey fan, simply cos everyone seems to go for them. I do like Grant wheels www.grantproducts.com/default.htmland i can supply those to if anyones interested

What I have is a Momo Prototipo - a re-run of a 70's classic. It has a small dish and comes in either black or silver spokes: Or a Nardi Classico might suit it better and they come in all dish sizes from the one pictured to proper 45degree inclines!

Show us pic's of the 'big control' in you car and why you chose it. ;D The Herald has a wheel that I'm fairly sure is from an Austin 1300GT. I adapted it to a Spitfire boss and made the aluminium doughnut that surrounds the horn button. Chosen because it was cheap and looks quite period and wood-rim wheels feel a bit overdone in these cars though I'd make an exception for a Les Leston one . The Oxford has an early Minor banjo wheel. Chosen again partly 'cos I picked it up form a jumble for a couple of quid, it is an inch or so smaller than the original and I think in this setting looks a bit custom (like a wire version of the grant wheels). The Sun-tor has its original wheel (same as the original Oxford but with a basic horn butting instead of a ring). It has one of those stitched leather covers on it which I normally hate but this one has been on the car for so long that it is worn through in exactly the spot you hold the wheel when you're cruising along, arm resting by the open window... I pulled this bad boy off a rotting Stiletto in a scrappy that used to up the road from me (now sold to make way for more new houses!) Figured i'll get the rim cleaned, recovered or perhaps replaced with something different as its seen too much exposure to the elements? I think it looks the dart anyway and suits the overall condition of the car perfectly

I used to have this old 4 spoke thing. but it's was falling apart. Edit: This photo was taken the day after i bought the car, i've sorted all the scary looking stereo wiring under the dash. I've currently got a pretty unpleasant standard plastic job.

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

I have Momo that I have used in various cars for about 15 years ! Its looking a little old and worn now and since I pulled it out of the 325iS it has been hanging on the wall in my office Maybe I'll stick it in the MR2 at some point in the future

MOMO Race 320mm in the Alfa, absolutely love it, perfect feel, grip etc and also looks niiice. The KP has a 350mm MOMO of some description, looks like a Nardi without the holes in the spokes. Has Gilles Villeneuve's signature etched on it and is date stamped 1981 if anyone can shed any light
