Right so I have had the car for around 6 months, bought it with no mot or tax as soon as I got off a plane and have enjoyed it since. It flew threw its MOT, only needing a new bulb. The car has since been my daily, I gave my golf to the misses and haven't looked back. I have done around 4k miles in this since I bought it and it has not misses one beat. It starts first time every time. The high mileage may put some of you off ( I also questioned it), however it has an immense amount of service history including gearbox rebuild cambelts etc. I has it in the garage a week ago for a new exhaust and it is spotless underneath. The box looks new. There is no rust on the body.
The car is modified, not with cheap curse word. I bought and installed a brand new set of HSD DT coilies around a month and half ago. We all know the price and quality of these. As above I have replaced the exhaust from cat back 2 weeks ago. It is a standard RS back box and a stainless center section removing the small center box. No louder than standard, very quiet in the cabin. That is the mods, nothing major but ripe for some nice wheels etc.
The body is straight and not dented at all from what I have seen. However the rear drivers arch has a small bit of rot, this is an easy job to sort, as above it is my daily and haven't had time to rectify it. It is the only rot on it. The front bumper is marked from the old number plate holder and could do with being resprayed. There is a 50 pence piece paint chip on the rear quarter on pass side. Power washer was set too powerful (plonker).
The soft top has not leaked or let in water since I have had it. It has a tiny holes in each side of the hood, very small. It is not the best condition hood but it does its job. It needs to be cleaned and treated with some blackening stuff. I have had my hardtop on for the last few weeks so haven't done it.
Interior is excellent except from the drivers seat. In other words the seat shows its miles. However the rest is all good. The center console has a speaker in the cup holder and seems to have been plastic welded. Give good sound though so has not bothered me. Still has the lid on so not on show when not using the stereo. It doesn't have a head unit fitted as the clarion one was playing up so I have removed it. Not exactly a problem though.
It does not have the hardtop or wheels that can be seen in the pics, these have been removed.
Price as standard: £1150 ono
