..from around abouts, and excuse some of the pic quality. Austin Gypsy, in need of resto, owner has been saying he is going to do it for at least two years.. poor Gypsy. First sold in 1958 to give Land Rover some competition. Traveller I knew down in cornwall had a mint one, real lurvely, I like 'em. Daimler sat next to it, quite rotten and pretty much doomed.. Reliant Fox, galvanised chassis, fibreglass body- handy rot-free cheekyness on four wheels. Belongs to a shotblaster out in the Narfolk sticks: Morgan?? Ginetta (G32??) in a mates yard. Rolling chassis, body unworked, might be for sale at some point. Run on Ford gear don't they? I'm sure the doors are from a Fiesta. Saw these two in Spain at the weekend: Seat, no idea what sort, lots of potential.. VW, something about the paint job I really like.. Lastly, my mate took this pic for me when he was in Chiang Mai in northern Thailand, dirty badass pickup, any idea what it is?.. I love it: edit: i know its a Dodge, but what sort etc?

Looks like a 850 saloon. The spanish have a fondness for grafting boots at the end of their hatchbacks. Nice finds.

Good one Aux! Nice to see someone else doing this in Norwich, with Baz and Wuvvum at it on autoshite too you think we'd run out of stuff but new new things keep turning up - saw one or two in town today which sadly I didn't have time to photograph.
Think I've seen a blue Fox around before.

My guess?? A '67 W-series Power Wagon. Think they came with a 318 or 383. Whatever it is, it's damned evil ;D

Power Wagon is quite possibly the most suitable name for the above vehicle! What a beast.

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

Didn't the early Gypsy's have rubber suspension? Yeah, Flexitor I think they called it. Wasn't a great success, the later ones were leaf sprung a la Land Rover.

Nice spots! And that Dodge does indeed look EVIL! ;D Oh, and i was correct about one of my earlier spots, a 944 Turbo, it was DAMN fast! Passed me when i was waiting for green light, in enough speed to make my car shake! ;D Orsum!!

The little yellow car is an early Seat - basically a badge engineered Fiat 850. They did pretty much all the classic Fiats iun a Seat versioin, often as has been said with a boot grafted on or some whacky changes, Usually with a bit more brightwork and oddness for the "gilding the lilly" win. Pre-VAG ownership obviously...
I'm goping to stick my neck out and say the Dodge is a real power wagon and not a W series pickup. The Power Wagon was the genuine military and hard core user version developed during WW2. It was not sold as a "personal vehicle" Ie sold to the government and to big companies like pipeline builders and the like. The W series was the civilian version introduced in 1957. Both versions were phased out in the late 1960s - 1970s although a RAM Powerwagon was re-introduced as a 2005 model by Dodge.
A lot of them had diesel engines and the unbreakable 258 cube straight six rather than the V8s. I thing the 413 would have ben to engine of choice in these. They even did a heavy duty casting of the 413 for "severe dutya pplications". I'm thinking the one in the photo is about a 1966 or 1967 which would make it one of the last of the "true" powerwagons as US production of these ended in 1968.
