hi, a slight change in idea....... my bbs RS's came from an audi of some description, and they are intended for my escort, now, the bore of the spigot is smaller than the ford spigot size, so they arent going to fit without running hc spacers. is there anyway i can get the centres machined out to the same size as the ford spacers? or maybe getting the halfshafts turned down to the same size as the wheels? i only need the rears doing as I'm running spacers on the fronts

Surely if you just need the centers enlarging a local machinist should be able to make light work of this?

Arnt audi vauxhall stud pattern? I.E wont fit ford? You'd think that, but middle aged Audi 80s are 4x108. I have no idea why, especially when Passats of the same age are 100mm.

Most alloy wheel shops will know of a trusted machine shop who should be able to do this, Many moons ago I worked at ELITE, and it was common practice to have wheels machined for centre bore/offset/PCD. The Audi wheels have a centre bore of 57.1mm and Fords are 63.4mm, but the wheel should be machined to 63.5 to fit over the hub, Please look at the wheel nut seats aswell as these are a radius seat on original equipment Audi wheels and Ford use a 60 degree taper, if this isnt adressed aswell there is a good chance the wheels will work loose, I have actually had some Audi Speedline six spokes machined years ago and fitted them to a sierra.

I remember going to elite for some wheels for my mini, they absolutely insisted that metro's were a different stud pattern and that it was impossible to put 13" wheels on a mini. Really!! all i can say is that they do have a dedicated staff there which have been around for years and know their stuff, H and Bramley being two of them, but unfortunately from time to time the do get the odd occasional muppet working for them on the counter, And as for the 13" wheels not fitting a mini i think they may have ment that their 13" wheels don't fit a mini, The mini has an imperial pcd and most of the wheels elite have sold have a metric pcd, so the nearest to a mini from their stock will be a 4x100 or a 4x98. either way it'll need machining. i remember a few sets of wheels being scrapped because the machine work left them unsafe and were never fitted. This kind of experience probabily left them of the opinion that they wernt worth the aggro, Of course wheels can be bought in the correct pcd for a mini but Elite would probabily have needed to order them;. Please bare in mind i left there back in 95 so my facts on minis may be a bit wobbly, Been working on trucks, and for a Ford dealer, and now the RAC since then. ;D
