Ive recently got my first car, an Audi 80 b4 and I'm looking at lowering it around 50mm. Ive seen quite a few springs for around the £100 mark, but ive heard that putting lowering springs on standard shocks can be quite a bad idea! Just wanting abit of advice and other oppinions really!
Cheers! :-)

If you're a test pilot, probably a bad idea, but for looks, probably fine. I've put lowering springs on a Mondeo and Rover 75, both on high mileage standard dampers, never had any issues over ride quality or handling, but I'm no test pilot

Ride quality and handling will be poor with stock shocks and lowering springs. I've got a used audi 80 lowered springs and uprated shocks kit you can have for £100?

40 or 50mm, looks a decent kit and rode/handled well on the car. I still need to pull it off the car, but can do in the nearish future if you're after them.
