So i`ve traded my 1997 Honda Prelude for a `91 Celica GT4, in need of quite a bit of love. Worst is the sills, where the previous owner has COCKED UP the worst repairs ever, leaving me in need for new sills. Toyota does not make them anymore, and aftermarket sills are nonexistant it seems, so i guess i`ll have to make some myself! But here is the issue, i don't really know what they look like originally, plus there seems to have been some kind of cover over them, wich i cant find anywhere in the pile of parts for the car (i did rip some awful fibreglass sideskirts to BITS to get to the real metal) Does anyone here know of new sills, or the sill covers, or have detailed pictures of what the sills are supposed to look like? Help would be much appreciated!
The guy was supposed to be a certified welder, rrrrrriiiight.
Holes for some sort of trim? These have been kept on both sides
The inner sill needs some work too, it looks like.
Waiting for her operation!
And this, kids, is how you remove ill fitting, bad looking, thin useless fibreglass sideskirts, also known as "water retainers", for that extra rusty feeling!
