It's still lurking and still bears all the signs of bent valves. If I can get it moved, then I can strip it down and have a proper look. It's a Selespeed, it's been standing for two years. I can help with moving, loading onto a trailer etc. - have keys and access to the car. Weekdays, evenings or weekends are all doable in theory. PM or comment, let me know cost, method and timescale, 'cause I need to do something with it

Really, no-one can help with this still?
Crazy thing is, it still has air in the tyres, still looks like a wash and polish would make it look pretty acceptable, faded badges and unclipped sill aside. Maybe weighing it in is the answer after all!

It spins over fast, so though the belt looks intact (can't see the teeth without stripping further) I think bent valves are a given. Main priority is to get it off the drive. I just want to muck about with it before it becomes scrap, but I figure giving it a wash and an inspection underneath, see how far off an MOT it's likely to be when running again is worthwhile.

Thread resurrection time! This thing is STILL sat outside the drive, and we've had chaos and a house move. I've got space to shove it in a corner and poke it, so either need to find someone to take it for scrap, or drag it to North Kilworth, LE17 area.

I'd take the A5, personally - through Coleshill, past Nuneaton and Hinckley. AlfaChris was going to buy it for parts and I'm still up for that but I think the timing wasn't awesome!

On Tuesday I'm off to Newcastle again.
Going up empty was planning on from here (swindon wilts) then heading towards Oxford to find the m1. But looking at what you need I can go up the M5/M6 then across for you and find the M1 by Leicester. To head north as collecting some parts on route near Wakefield for pandaselecta.

as the mrs has just booked a job from Swindon to Middlesbrough delivering parts, I can do this if parts can be left at Leicester ideally, then go get the alfa...

Sorry to hijack, but I'm breaking my 156 (2 litre engine), so if you want any parts for it, give me a shout!
