Spotted a couple on Ebay the other day and it got me wondering:-
If they can be picked up cheap (the auctions are still going so maybe not), are they worth using in projects? -
To expand. Bang for buck, are they worth it or does the badge distort the price of spares?
Are they particularly heavy or large for their power output.
Has anyone stuck one up front for a front engine rwd setup?
Actually, just how heavy and large are they?
Would they run the wrong way for most rwd gearboxes if mounted up front?

vw engine and transaxle up front in a 3 wheeler. Wouldn't particularly want a flat 6 at the front of a 3 wheeler but in a larger car and RWD, might make an interesting change.

(No I'm not the seller oh his friend). How do you make it mid-engined btw, doesn't it spin the wrong way for the 914 box?
