Think I’ve found the issue… Shaun is going to test the injectors tonight, but the thinking is that whilst the SR’s injectors are classed as high impedance (supposedly 11ohms), the ECU is looking for 14-16ohms! So if this is the issue then running a couple of ballasts should resolve it. EDIT: unless that’s a bad idea? Google (limited search) says Bad Idea passionford.com/forum/general-car-related-discussion/265539-ballast-resistors-on-injectors-good-bad.htmlEmerald sells them but states Injector ballast resistor 5 Ohm for use with our ECU when low impedance injectors (low impedance injectors measure circa 2.5 - 3ohms) are used. One ballast resistor is required per injector. Yeah that’s what I found, Brian. It sounds like the ECU is letting the injectors just go wild and taking all the power they want.

Well it’s not the injectors, I’m going to have to bring the car home as remotely trying to resolve issues 3.5 hours away is not working.

Wow- this is a jump from 3 years ago!!! It's looking great. I love those wheels. Modern for sure but they blend in nicely and go really well against the yellow. That style would look great on our yellow K11.
Really glad to see you've still got this car and you're at where you're at with it.

Cheers buddy, I lost interest updating tbh as I couldn’t get the then mobile site to work for me. Then with lock down and painters being lined up only to drop us in it last minute, that really pushed Jodie to buy himself a paint booth and do it himself. Unfortunately for him/us, his day job then required more focus. I agonised about the wheels and have a set of steelies here too. just currently caught between Emerald stating it’s an electrical fault and the electrician saying it’s the ECU.

Car was delivered to Karl at Emerald on Monday, looks like a coil pack has gone rogue and is spiking hard enough to send power back down to the ECU. Using an oscilloscope the noise follows the faulty coil, so at least the wiring checks out. Lambda controller wire popped out of its crimping and Karl also advised that the ECU wasn’t reading its feed due to being on the wrong port. He’s going to fix a couple of other niggles and then it must be close to coming home surely??? 🫣 Also not sure I’ve shared the new wheel yet.

So the saga continues... I went to pick it up a few weeks ago from Emerald and to be honest was deeply disappointed,
Car runs - replacement new coil pack fitted. 3 more ordered just in case and waiting on delivery. Fuel pump, filters and lines required cleaning as dirty fuel had entered the system limiting peak power to 160hp! (injectors were clear thankfully)
Mac valve wasn't fitted by Shaun so first reported power outputs exaggerated, so she's deffo making 240bhp on standard boost. Wiring needs tidying up where Emerald resolved some oddities/missing components and poor mapping decisions.
I knew it needed a few little jobs doing and the plan was to drop it off at Jodie’s reattach the bits and bring it home the next day.
Unfortunately the weather being as dire as it was, the motorway suffering delays caused by accidents, I didn’t get to emerald until quite a bit later than planned. Despite being told the car was ready for pick up it wasn’t, wiring jobs needed finishing off.
I didn’t mind waiting to be honest as it gave me a chance to reacquaint myself with the car. (This is where I got a tad upset) It was clear on brief inspection that the window fitter employed had damaged/chipped the paint in a number of places and the headlining had been pulled from the windscreen on the passenger side. Plus my new alloys had been damaged, one gouged the others have all got paint scuffs. (None of which was Emerald’s doing)
By the time I got to Jodie’s it was too late to doing anything plus what with the car requiring rectification, we did a snagging list and I got home at 2am. I have photos from Jodie prior to the 1st lot of rolling road work that shows the wheels in good shape, neither of us are able to explain when the rashes occurred.
I reflected on the situation the following morning and to be honest, these things happen, Jodie is resolving it all. I got to drive my car around the yard, the roads on his farm were just too flooded to go anywhere plus it was still chucking it down. The door seals need gluing in place and I didn’t want to push my luck going through puddles.
My best guesstimating with the brake setup needs tweaking, they are way too soft, whilst at yard speeds they stopped the car with consummate ease, I fear at normal road speed they may be lacking in fluid movement. So I may have to up the bore size to one inch I’m thinking or I just go full new pedal assembly with a balance bar.
So in summary it starts, it stops (kinda) the Porsche seats fit a treat, their position feels comfy too and it sounds epic.
Just need it back now 😁
