0438hrs on a Saturday morning. Can't sleep. Sold the Fiesta yesterday = very sad. As soon as she drove down road on her way to Swadlincote with her new owner I was blubbing like a baby. She is going to a good home with a MK1 Cortina. Lovely bloke. Forgot to eat yesterday = feel quite ill now Washed all 3 cars too = arms like an orangutan & ache like feck. I need sleep.... No alcohol in the house to assist... Woe is me MM

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm..... Not to create a pity-party, but I have been up since 04.10 as well, went to bed at 12.15, woke to text from my mate in Australia, back to sleep. However, my reason I think is that my dad passed away at 6.15pm South African time yesterday. I was busy painting, took a break to call the hospital and while I was speking to them, a nurse came in and confirmed that he had just died. I am not going home till much later in the year. Now need a project to keep my mind occupied even more desperately. Back to the forums.......................................

Grizz......sorry for your loss mate, I lost my mum 12 years ago, I know how it feels.
Miniminx, been there too.....I remember when I sold my beloved Land Rover lightweight to buy our house in 1996....watched the taillights fade as it drove down the road, came in the house and cried like a baby, and don't mind admitting it!!

i can sympathise, but not empathise as even though theres all sorts going on and they're separated, i have both my parents. my grandparents went when i was young, as did a friend of mine. also, slept in until 12.45pm which is shameful, and then there was two excellent football games to check out. anyhow, sorry to hear about that grizz, rely on RR for moral support if you need. and you too mm, again i cant quite empathise as i just keep every car i like

Thanks all, Sorry for the thread hi-jack MINIMINX.....
We all probably say the same, my dad was a great guy, firstly, friend, then Mentor, than father... thats pretty awesome. But we live our lives in my family (Brother n Me) to never have regrets, and to celebrate life, rather than to mourn death.
Now I need a car !! (May be sorted sooner than later)

^^^Never a truer word!! You never lose the sense of loss in my experience, you just learn to live with it.
And you're so right about this place too......signing up here last November was definitely a life-changing experience! ;D
