What colour is your Mini? I think it's a great idea - but then I would, as my car has a leather (-effect) roof ;D

Can you still get vinyl roof kits??
There used to be a 'vinyl roof paint' available at one time...back when I started driving there was a jacked-up pink V6-powered Corsair estate knocking about locally that had had its rear side windows painted with it in some misguided attempt to make it look like a van....bless the owner, he even left little circles clear to look like portholes.....:spew:

I quite like vinyl roofs, a few of mine have had them - I guess it depends on the car! I don't know if it'd work as well on a mini though - most saloons have it so it runs down the rear pillars as well which completes 'the look', having just the roof in it might look plain odd to me?!

They look good on some cars and suck on others. The pain thing that makes me groan about them is if I buy a car and I see a vinyl roof I just know its going to be rusty underneath it... I have taken vinyl tops off a few cars and its hard work... The metal underneath is never "right" So they are a pet hate of mine. However on some cars they look right.... or less so....
