Excuse what is probably a silly question but Can rust oleum colour be painted over tetro underseal ?
I'm looking to underseal my xr2i with tetro under seal primarily as I have no garage facilities and it goes on with a paint brush can you then afterwards use rustoleum colour to give it some colour once it dries ?

try a test section. see how it is after a week. i've found that rustoleum does need a primer coat to ensure it sticks.

Underseal is waxy isnt it? so paint wouldnt stick surely.
If you're on about stonechip, that would probably work, but not underseal.

There is no paint that will adhere on a waxy/tar type underseal - by their nature they are "soft" and never actually go off 100%.
If you just have patches to do, use Hammerite Stone-chip shield aerosols - they are the only hammerite product I can recommend. If you want to do the entire underside of the vehicle, use Upol Gravitex (which is a proper professional stonechip type product that goes on nice and thick) It's perfectly doable outside, but you'll need a compressor to spray it.
