Ahh, the ex-Crystal Cove meet - was there on Sunday, myself. Bit low turnout though, due to the weather being somewhat overcast. Wish I'd have known you were there. I'd have called you. We were on a quicky though - had to get up to California Speedway in Fontana.
However, I'll be back in about a month so....
Bryn, I have indeed shotted them Cortinas for CF - the ratty looking red one has an awesome (slipping into the SoCal vernacular there, sorry) story and the paint is just so excellent - beautifully naturally patinated and the car is absolutely rust free. It's owned by Phil Bass from very near San Diego as is Mike Haynes - an ex-brit that stuffs small blocks in Mk1's.
It's err, Alam Mann colours now though.....
That MkII is Brett Stierelli's - runs a Mazda Twin Cam (and was also in CF last year). Brett works for Mazda (US). That car will make you weep it's so rust free - it's like a new car, so much so he runs it without carpets.
And British plates - someone ought to tell 'em the yellow one goes on the back FFS!
Went to the March Meet nr Bakersfield the previous weekend too - been about three or four times now and always knocked out. Fantastic!
