Anyone ever used upholstery spray paint? This was the stuff I was thinking of, I want to rrejuvinate my headlining... www.fabricspray.co.uk/upholstery-spray-paintThe headlining in my 2000 Mini Se7en is pretty filthy - I think the original owner must have been a smoker - don't really want the aggrovation of replacing it so thought I might mask the interior up and try spraying it? I'd be interested to know if anyone has used this stuff and how they got on

Currently driving a '68 Karmann Ghia as my daily. Don't ask about previous cars - there have been way too many and I stopped counting at 160!

Before you try and spray it, use TFR and a nail brush and there's a very good chance it'll come up like new, and if it doesn't you'll have atleast cleaned most of the greasy nicotine off so that any paint you do try to apply will actually stay on.
I've used TFR to bring the headlining in a railworkers van like new, and it had some kind of smelting furnace thing installed in the back and ferried 6 chain smoking irish blokes around for over 400k

Useful info this, I'd never even thought of spraying my headlining.

Years ago (1970's) it was common to brush paint vinyl emulsion onto tired headlinings. I did mine in a nice pale blue and it did a nice job.

ive used regular paint on headlining and parcel shelf a few times with good results. paint designed for upholstery would probably give an even better finish - as long as its not too expensive

I've used autosmart's midnight carpet dye on headlining in the past. You'll need to take it out and it stinks to high heaven until it's dried properly but works a treat. Satin black aerosols also work wonders as others have said
