Well, since its been 9 days since the Chysler went up to the garage to finish it off I thought I'd be as well to ring up and see if its about ready to pick up... Not started yet, no idea when they plan to start on it other than "soon, probably". Thats maybe next week to stary on it. My mate whos garage it is gave me a nice long list of reasons (various disasters) why they are running a good 2 weeks behind. I am begining to wonder if these disasters were brought upon them by the Cursed Chrysler turning up there...
I'm getting feckin bored of being a pedestrian I can tell you.
Even my push bike doesnt work at the mo!
Should have bought Baldersdash's Honda...

I begin to think I am being punished for something. For years the Gods of the Old Cars smiled upon me and I got away with all manner of stupid stuff and now I just can't keep a car on the road. OK, can't actually get a car on the road. And I seem to be haemoraging money on the damn things.
Its since I knackered that Olds trans. Right after that the Vauxhall paint went bad, and from bad to worse, and the Chrysler (which admittedly was a poor purchase) has gone worse and worse.
Maybe if I chuck some money into sorting the Olds out the Gods will forgive me and I can get on with stuff.

These things come in phases - yesterday on my motorbike I had a puncture. It also fell off the sidestand, bending the brake lever. When the wheel was taken off one of the bearings came out in its component parts with a crushed cage When replacing the bearings they were a loose fit in the hub due to corrosion, and of course the pads had less than 1mm of lining left. Otherwise it was a pretty good day

I know this one too well and its usually all true. -- If its any consolation, I am cursed too, I broke 2 of next doors battery chargers when no batteries from 3 cars had power to move the 3 door! and the rest! busy tidying the sapph, I now have an exhaust to fix too after it gave up on me after drive back from birmingham! the kick I needed to get me back cycling! 5 cars and i'm on the bike LOL! and thats just cars, don't get me started on work, houses, computers or video equipment! HTH

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

2 weeks ago I decided it was taking me too long to get the motor's internals degunked, the intake and the carb replaced and whatnot so I got it dragged up my mates garage in the anticipation of it re-appearing about a week later all done. 2 weeks on and nothing happening.
I've got the loan of the Mazda lined up for next Wednesday for work but other than that I'm no the damn bus. Does anyone remember the Fatima Mansions? They became Microdisney (or they were formed out of Microdisney I forget). Did a great song called "Only Losers Take The Bus". Meh. I need a copy of that...
Guz, I'm sure we must know each other. Do you know a guy called Mike who runs a black Capri 2.8i? I'm sure he lives up by the Punchbowl. Or I am just really confused. Again.
