Hi guys,
My exhaust is constantly blowing at the manifold. Ive mended it three times by taking the clamp off, cleaning everything up, jacking it up so it seals, even gone to the extent of putting exhaust putty round it and then putting the clamp on just to be sure. Works a treat for a few days but then it just starts blowing again.
I can only assume, that like my mini had, its got knackered engine mounts. And thus the engine moves and loosens the exhaust. The car is too valueless to bother changing engine mounts on, so can anyone think of a way of sorting it out?
If i could get some sort of heatproof gasket or something along those lines, that might work, but thats only off the top of my head.
Has anyone done some clever fixes for blowing at the manifold?
Cheers!
