It looks like there might be a new toy turning up in a few weeks Will need a fair bit of sorting out (welding & mechanical) so am looking around to see if I can find anywhere local that I can store it and work on it - hopefully only needed for a couple of months. Am also collecting numbers for folk who could move a Mondeo-sized beasie from Scottish Borders to Tyneside - anyone interested in the job? All suggestions welcome Cheers

Bump as I'm still looking for a workshop. I'm heading to Scotland on Monday to view the mighty beast so really need to have somewhere organised in case it follows me home a couple of days later Have found a place I can put the car for storage but really need a workshop so I can get it fixed up and back on the road. Any suggestions from the South Tyneside RR's ? Thanks in advance ! The adverts says it should be fairly easy for someone who knows what they're doing to fix it up and it'll be worth a fortune when it's finished. I'm not convinced! Joking aside - finding somewhere local I can work on the new project would be very good news !

Why not sound out the North East Restoration Club in Washington, they have all the facilities you need including welding facilities and have bays you can hire for up to two months. They also have a car trailer you can hire to pick up your motor. Their address is Wilden Road, Pattinson South Ind. Estate and there are people there every Saturday who will give you the low down. Don't take any notice of some of the bullsh*t posted on here about the place, it's spot on.

Panic over - no longer looking for a unit. We're just back from a 2-day trip to view the monster, I like it but won't be buying it Some thoughts after viewing it might explain why ... retrorides.proboards.com/thread/153698/tips-advice-buyers-sellers-motorsMark - thanks for the offer but York is too far for me to work on it. The offer is appreciated, we have family down there so I'll keep it in mind Bri - I'm already a member of NERC and I like it a lot but I when I asked about getting temporary bay late last year I was told they were booked about 8 months in advance. No use for this project as I have spare time now that I wasn't expecting so couldn't plan ahead for. I like : the machine shop, the facilities (friendly helpful members, good selection of tools avaialble, welding/painting kit, ramp, etc) Not so good for me : a very long waiting list for a permenant bay, temporary bays are booked a long way in advance, paintshop is sometimes available at shor noticet but sometimes booked for months in advance. Cheers everyone
