The first, tank sender has 12V to it, but fuel gauge is dead. However, the gauge works if 12V is sent to it directly and not through the sender.
Senders dead?
The 2nd, installing a battery master switch. Battery is in the boot and the earth lead goes to the chassis, when I introduce the master switch into the circuit, I get the same symptoms as a loose battery lead, remove the master switch and it's fine.
2 switches have been tried and both are the same, I've been bolting the lead to one of the terminals and using the other terminal to bolt to the chassis directly at the same point as used by the earth lead.
Any suggestions? Getting fed up with unbolting the earth lead every time I park the car, which isn't used every day.
thanks
