After a long search to find a Two door that didn't need a second morgage i found this only 10 minutes up the road from me. Does anyone know it? Its been in this spec for a good number of years, the guy i bought it from had it 6 years, he bought it in Leicester and it was in this spec when the guy before him bought it. Mildly tuned 2.0 Pinto dyno set up 121bhp, 5 speed box, Capri 2.8i struts, vented discs, bilstiens, Chocolate RS2000 Interior, rear cage, 9 Inch brakes, 4-2-1 manifold, 38 DGAS. Its the first MK2 i have driven with a Pinto and i have to say its a right giggle:hahaha: the difference between this and my crossflow powered Ghia is remarkable:D. Some pics for ya.

I do love a Mexico look MK2. They remind me of an E21. Same era, same size & same lay out. So what are your plans for it?

this might start a bit of an argument....BUT!!!!!! I think the mk2 looks better than the mark 1 ooerrr I think I'm a marked man now :/ I gotta agree with the above. I've always loved mk2 Escorts. That is 2 stunning Escorts you own now, that is just not fair! The pinto is so much more torquey and makes for a more effortless drive than a pushrod. Personally I'd loose the Cibies, I always think they clutter the front of any car. Lovely car mate, get some more pic up - preferably with the Ghia.

Love that. Wish I'd had one before they'd all disappeared. Is that a Hangers Motors decal in the rear window?

Yes a late registration, 1981. Was probably hanging around at the dealers and punted out cheap. The sticker is from Classic ford show. The car came from Central Motors in Leicester. It still has the original mudflaps.
