from the nsra swapmeet at arena essex yesterday. not really any huge bargains for me, although a mate of mine got a pair of 12"x15" slotmags with tyres from wilf stacey! £85 with good mickey T sportsmans. bruisercapri was, as usual, loaded down with tat anything that grabbed my eye was far too overpriced, with the sellers excuse being "I can get £X for it on ebay" any other bargains were snapped up inside 10 seconds of the gates opening, like a pinto twin turbo setup (also makes a single setup too). £100 by the time I got to peruse the car park for notable cars they were mostly queing for the exit or gone, bloody rain! but heres a small selection of what was left plus some stuff that was up for grabs. I just lurve these things 3 four banger traditionals. guess they didn't have far to come, I wouldn't fancy a trek over 5 miles on a dual carriageway in one. kool mk3 zody/zephyr highly prized early tin. premium prices for arizona's scrap. there was a '40 ford sedan next to these which I couldn't get a pic of. nice original condition, no rust to speak of, but been laid up for a while, £11000. ouch! another early rod body, it was reasonably priced. also prechopped, don't think it sold tho. smart flatty harley converted to tele forks, hydraulic brakes and mag wheels. in the back of this- f-1. would kill for an f-1 at a reasonable price. this is lovely £5k for the bike, f-1 not for sale.

lovely mk3, taken at full zoom because to owner was in residence '40 ford coupe. HHNNNNNGGG! impresive rump, look at the spares carrying capabilities the bay sounded rorty and had audi rings on the front. 4/5 cylinder in the back methinks at the back of the parking lot, last to arrive, last to leave! and a kewl rod to finish on. not vast quantities, sorry. deffo be there again for the annual pilgrimage, might even spend more than £25 next time too! enjoy

Damn, forgot all abut that yesterday. Mind you i would have probably blown it out on acount of the weather anyway. I know what you mean about the lack of real bargains nowadays, i've noticed it over the last few years at these sort of events. Ebay, it seems, its killing autojumbles.

the silver car is indeed a '68 or '69 Plymouth Baracuda, in the nicer (I'm) but less sought after fastback style.
The black car will be a Zephyr, the Zodiac has a window in the C pillar.
Was that Pro-Street Mk1 Tina for sale and how much? (out of curiosity)
Love the Mk3. Reminds me of my first one. I really must get another one, soon...

Was that Pro-Street Mk1 Tina for sale and how much? (out of curiosity) knowing I couldn't afford it, I didn't ask sorry. thought of you for some reason when I spied an 413?ci olds engine, seized, £35! got to be worth it for a distributor if you needed one! if it is of interest to anyone you know, ask mitch for mr populars number. cheers for the info on the bay, keefy. sounded much nicer than a scoob!

413 would be a Mopar RB series.
403 would be an Oldsmobile.
