Hmmmm... How bout these? €140 for four fully-refurbished Escort XR3 alloys, 50km from my place. They're unusual here, they're from the 80's but perhaps wouldn't look too out of place, they're the right PCD and size, and look a little like 156 and Diablo wheels, only with four circles instead of five. If someone knows any Diablo wheels in 6x14 on the cheap, let me know

I found a set of 205 GTI 1.6 nearby enough (hour-and-a-half drive, but fun roads so it doesn't count), for €70, with one of the rims painted black with silver lip which should look good! I've found my dream wheel set though. Maserati Biturbo wheels, 6x14, but 4x98... I'm starting to wonder if it's possible to somehow swap the discs to some Alfetta ones? They'd be 4x98, and I'd have plenty more choices of cool wheels.

Biturbo wheels! Make it happen now! If not, link me to the advert and I'll get some PCD adapters made

Seller's asking €300 for them with good Michelin tyres fitted, that's a bit steep but I guess they're rare. Here's the ad. The problem with the adaptors is that they work as spacers, which means they'll upset the offset (that's not nicely put but hey), which apparently is ET0 already. Let's just say it's more of a long-term project edit: I found information on the front disc sizes, here's the comparison:

That doesn't help my suffering! I appreciate that you lowered it a lot more at the front than at the back, it makes things easier Aggressive but discreet stance, pretty sweet. I can't imagine how happy I'd be with the BWA wheels for when I want a racing look, and Biturbo wheels when I just want an elegant car. I'm a little bothered that my previous car needed massive negative offset, and that this one needs massive positive offset. I was delighted to buy an Alfa because it meant 4x98 wheels, and I can't even have that. I'll have to take many measurements... edit: waiiiit!! Right size, right PCD, €100, but a little common (although very nice, especially with the gold/silver colour scheme I'd put on). Perfection, but 4x100 and only two wheels (€75 for the pair). I've found the brand of the 504 alloys, they're Delta Mics too! but the 504 PCD is a stupid 4x140, that's too bad. I guess I'll call the seller of the BBS-replica set...

hairnet: It's actually this set that showed me that Biturbo wheels were the right size... I was gutted about the 4x98, as you can imagine.
ettorebugatti: This really, really is lovely. Exactly the kind of look I'd like. I'll have to try and find out how he pulled it off, perhaps re-drilling the discs?

Just found these this morning at a boot sale, €30 for 4 wheels! They're 6x14 which is perfect, but the PCD is 4x100. Does anyone know about re-drilling discs or hubs? I'm all giddy

I'm asking a question about re-drilling solid spacers here!

I've checked a few things, with 16mm adapters it should look like this: Or, if you prefer, like this! The wheels will stick outwards a further 3.8cm (1.5") than the current ones, but I'll have skinnier tyres. The ones on the car, which are Uniroyal Rallye 280 in 175SR14 have some sort of wide rims that sticks out 1.4cm compared to the rim... I'm planning on 165/80 tyres that should sit nicely within the arches, almost a tucked look perhaps! But the important thing is, I'm delighted with how they look. Plus there are many wheels in 4x100, and I could make €100 by selling these anyways.

Thanks! I'm told they won't fit, but the guy saying that is a bit of an old fart haha edit: Just went to take a picture: I don't exactly have a lot of space there! As you can see there's no actual arch to roll...
