For those that are going for the whole weekend and want to get out and about on the Saturday before RRG, may I suggest the Shelsley Walsh Hillclimb practice day, (main race day is on the same day as RRG!).
Don't let the fact its just a practice day put you off, there are still tones of rare, valuable and fast cars giving it death up the hill all day! You will find everything from classic Bentleys, retro specials, custom monsters and race spec moderns as well as everything in between. I went last year before RRG and it was an increadable day out.
As an added bonus this year, they are celebrating 100years of Aston Martin so there will be runs and displays by the owners club.
It is set on a posh estate just over an hour away from the RRG site and a stunning drive in the country too.
