after reading the bodywork thread I'm after some answears to the following in readiness for a new project ;D can i put all my light on switches on dashboard so long as they are labelled? do the indicators have to cancel themselves or can i have them on a switch to, with a warning light on the dash,  same sought of thing for wipers, can they be on switches? Also fuel tanks, what is the rule with having them inside the car probably me being a bit slow, and probably dead obvious, but not when you don't know Cheers guys and gals |

Not sure I fully understand but there should be no problem with having switches on the dash for lights, wipers or even indicators. I don't even think you'd need labels and its all probably in Construction and Use rather than an MOT but a terster might not enjoy hunting for various features if you're not with the car when they test it. A35's don't have cancelling indicators and switich on dashtop. Wipers and light switches in all three of our cars are on the dash. Again, I don't think its within a MOT testers remit to care about where the fuel tank is as long as it doesn't leak. You might want to make sure its safe for your own sake though.  |

Standard Mog bombs (Morris Minors) don't have any switches labelled. I never label mine either, though after a winter lay up I do have to play around to remind myself just what does what!

so long as stuff works reliably I think is the main thing. Streets got his tank in teh car, so longa s its safe should be ok. check with you MOT man for full confirmation though |
