Coming home from the girlfriends last night, i managed to seize up my gearbox, and when i release the clutch it makes a nasty grinding noise.  Got her towed to where i live, and i think her final resting place maybe at the scrappy next door. She's done me well, lasting my abuse since August, and not costing me a penny! Gotta go home next weekend to pic up the golf thou, so its not all bad    Rust in peace! |

???Does it only need a gearbox? If that's the case and you don't want to fix it why not give it away to someone on here?

well if someone wants to trailer it away this week they can! its 1.1 webber carbed monster of an engine, with a dented bonnet, front wing, rear bumper and rear wing. Needs a new gearbox, and apart from that its ok! just cant be assed with trying to sort it out, as I'm at uni and just don't have the time/knowledge/funds!

Whang it in FS&W, I got a free polo engine and gearbox from clubpolo so it stands to make someone a cheap runaround! I suppose even put it on clubpolo too? PM me if you're not registered, or I know guz frequents there too.

Yeah definately don't let this goto the scrappy, I'm sure someone will take it off you  I would, if I could, Adam's car has made me really like these! Unfortunately I can't though |

how much do u get for scrap these days, just out of interest like.. Between £70 and £100 for a car.... polo will be lower end of the scale as they only weigh 850kg. You've done your 'bit'... if nobody bites then at least you tried to pass it on to a good home! |
