Hmmm... seems rather bargainous, looks like the only advantage of the next kit it more 6-face impact sockets, which are only £20 for a complete set. Come at a good time too, I've finally got my own garage to fill with tools

Thanks for posting that, picking one up in an hour's time. I paid more than twice that for the next one up 15 years ago! Now I've got a good excuse to buy another toy as well

The 150 piece set has more spanners, some ratchet spanners, and useful things like long 1/2" extension bars which are missing from this set.

Also took the plunge. I stroked my beard when it was 79million pounds, but it really is a steal at that price.

Cheers for the heads up, just ordered one too.
Didn't need all of it but always good to have spares/scrapyard set ready to go. Billy bargain at that price.

I bought a set very similar to this a few year ago and it was every penny well spent.

Just had a look at mine and it's a steal! Had the 150 piece set and didn't use a lot of it so this is perfect for me.

Just on a bit of a tangent, can anyone explain to me the advantage of bi-hex sockets over six-sided? IE the twelve pointed ones that round off your old rusty nuts?

Just on a bit of a tangent, can anyone explain to me the advantage of bi-hex sockets over six-sided? IE the twelve pointed ones that round off your old rusty nuts? In my experience no advantage unless you set out to round off the nut !! They're fine for anything that isn't overly tight but anything like suspension work I go for 6 sided sockets. The kit itself is a good buy at that price. I got one couple years ago and it's lasted well with medium use.

Bi-hex can be handy on a breaker bar if you only have a a small angle you can swing the bar through. On the other hand if it's tight enough to need a breaker bar it's probably tight enough to use 6 sided sockets...

The 90 piece set is still at 60 and includes all the bits you'll actually use.
If you have a trade card the 35 piece quarter inch set comes down from 25 to 13. 13 quid for a 13,10, and 8 and a new ratchet is a bargain.
Multiple sets of both in use in my breakers yard and they have everything necessary for most jobs.
