It was mega, I had a bit of a chuckle at the 'professional' mechanics forgetting to put the bonnet pins in, that was a big smash and a lot of carbon shards  The quality of the car was ace, good atmosphere (even if EVERYONE looked like they were from essex!). For me the only issues were very poor signage on the roads around the venue, and the track action was slow going. Very few cars on track and big gaps between groups. This was all due to the organisers deciding on a 105db limit and the track have a limit on dB/hours, it meant only 4 or 5 cars on track and many stoppages to drop the noise average! Finally, lovely pics bizzle! |

i love the way the VW scene seems to have diversified as its 'grown up'. same insane levels of detail and an eye for innovative mods its always been famous for, but applied to different motors. there seems to be as much as an appetite for audis, BMWs, mercs and porkas as there is for golfs and the like these days.
oh, and that peppermint green nine-eleven just does something for me i really wasnt expecting it to!

Sad I didn't make it in the end, would have been great to have a look around. I was surrounded by people covered in lycra and mud,.. that is just how I live my life... For me the only issues were very poor signage on the roads around the venue, and the track action was slow going. Very few cars on track and big gaps between groups. This was all due to the organisers deciding on a 105db limit and the track have a limit on dB/hours, it meant only 4 or 5 cars on track and many stoppages to drop the noise average! This most probably wasn't and organisers thing, I'm guessing Goodwood has this as a limit, hopefully Players can do something about it for next year. I've been tempted to do things there in the past, as a venue it looks ace, but the track puts me off as spectating is a bit rubbish (air fields are not great for spectators). |

Oh it is an organisers thing, because of the units chosen by the locals of dB/Hours, you can have more cars running for longer IF you have a lower noise limit. Something like a 98dB limit would have allowed twice as many cars on track  Of course I base all my comparisons on RRG and the amount of cars we get up the hill there, not much can touch it! |
