If you’ve got access to the car dare I suggest measure it? I reckon it’ll either be 114.3mm or 100mm*, a quick measurement from centre-to-centre of the studs opposite each other should make it clear whether it’s one or the other. 100mm probably has more cheaply available options here, especially for FWD.
Looks like they have a lot of offset and sit out well in the arches, so I can’t imagine you’ll fit something that’s RWD-ish with reduced/zero offset (but doubtless Rmad, Daihatsu specialist Hirst or somebody will post pic’s of something in Japan suitably crazy!).
Looks a tidy car. I’m sure I read a review of it once that described it as looking like a felled telephone box, which made me laugh then and still does 20 years later.
*No guarantees, Mazda and some small Toyota are different.

According to this site it's 4x100. Although the info on that page looks sketchy - they have a pic of a Daewoo instead of a Daihatsu, and it's all in Russian! If it is 4x100, the wheel world is your oyster really!

A set of 10x13" ATS Classics in ET 0 perhaps? ;D On a more serious note, 7 or maybe 8x13"`s would look nice

yup but most listings don't even mention the offset or the wheel stud size, i was hoping someone might know of some that would fit on.just a set of alloys almost the same width or slightly wider would do I'm not trying to get really wide rims or anything, its either this way or a set of nasty aftermarket plastic hubcaps as the original ones are no longer available

Charades are 4x110 and I'll bet Domino's are the same. The good news is you can use Ford rims with wobbly bolts if all else fails. 110 is not a common fitment unfortunately.

Phew, glad I put that footnote in my comment! 110mm is that odd size that some Mazda and old, small Starlets use isn't it? The one that causes Michiel problems?!

HNGGGHHHH!!
An educated guess says they will be 4x110. It is pretty difficult to get wheels in this fitment in the UK, you will likely need to import from Japan. My two Miras are 4x110 and I can't get anything either without hassle.
What I would do is respray the steel wheels in gloss black, I bet that'd look pretty smart. Congratulations on having a Daihatsu, though!

I'm going to look at some 12" wheeltrims today! if they look a bit nasty i might well be tempted to spray these not sure about black though i was going to re do them in silver u think black would look better?? its going to be up for sale in a couple of weeks anyhow once ive driven it about a bit its just reached 100 miles this morning all around town short journeys on £10 of petrol so i think its going to be cheap to run its only just run in i guess as its almost about to hit 33k miles ! its a bit like a sewing machine on sterioids though but a right laugh to drive and surprisingly nippy !

Ah, the blasted 4x110 pcd again... welcome to the club! I've got a set of Mazda RX-7 wheels (or is that a problem for you with them being meant for rwd?) in the back of me car, just waiting for the current tyres to disintegrate (I guess somewhere in 2018, they're pretty new and I only did some 500 miles in 10 months) so I have a good reason to fit them ;-)
