Hi folks.
I have a bit of a garage find for sale here, a 'Karobes' bucket seat from i suspect the 1970's.
This has been sat in my garage for ages, I can't quite remember how I came to have it, but its never going to be used by me, so I just as well get rid of it. If you do a bit of research on 'google' you will see that these seats were produced by Karobes of Leamington Spa between the 50's and 70's, along with a load of other accessories back in the day. They were the first to offer 'head restraints' and stuff like that in a time when cars didn't need to have them.
Anyway, enough of the history lesson. The seat is in black leather type effect material with perforated seat back and cushion. It is in fairly good shape apart from a scuff to one of the seat back upper corners and some white paint on the seat lower bolster. I will see if I can clean this off, but am not promising the results. The seat is made from fibreglass base with foam and leather effect material. It has the original 'Karobes' badge on its rear. The seat is on an old adjustment mechanism for forward and backward adjustment, but not on any runners.
So there it is, maybe you have an old Mini or MG Midget hill climb or track car that this might slot nicely into? Either way, if you want any further info, please let me know.
