I didn't take many pictures around this time as I was getting pretty ****ed off with the whole thing; especially when I uncovered this: Some time later, when the shell came back from the body shop: I made a new fuel filler lock thing out of stainless: Starting to look like a car again: Woo, all back together: My advice: if you're thinking about respraying a car. Just. Say. No. Having said that, it looks pretty nice now .

Love the fab and welding work! You're clearly the right person to have taken on this car; all work looks immaculate - hats off to you! Looking forward to more photos. Are you a member on the Corrado forum? Always was a friendly place when I had my 2 Corrado valvers.

The standard of that repair work is superb mate. Unfortunately in the majority of cases that'd of been a few ill fitting plates with filler covering bird sh1t welding. It's great to see someone taking the time and obviously having the skills to do thorough and proper repairs. Give yourself a pat on the back mate. It'd be nice to see some decent pics of the finished car. I like the Corrado especially in VR6 form.

Cracking work there mate ! Had a valver and a VR myself a few years back, wish I'd kept it ! Best mod I did for buttons was to drill the lower half of the airbox just on the wing side and listen to the resinating induction sound track, nothing still comes close for your money If you ever get bored ? search for 'slot' on the Corrado Database ! Have fun Dave

Haha yep, it's a well known mod. So much so that "undrilled" air boxes now demand a premium . I'm impressed you managed to get 18s to fit. Did you not get rubbing?

I'm impressed you managed to get 18s to fit. Did you not get rubbing? Thanks you pal I always like to do things that people don't conform to, just look at what I've got now !! Anyway I put the 18's on as most people said it couldn't be done properly ! And we're going back to 2006-ish, but from memory I fitted 215/35 tyres along with FK highsport coilovers, and I think only minimal arch modification, boy digging into that abused Manc memory calls for a lie down now ! Keep up the good work pal Dave
