Outside car covers - I'm wondering what folks use, where you got it from, what it cost and how long it lasted?
Four of my cars/projects/donors need to be covered and sit outside all year. I've been using 'deluxe' and 'economy' covers from eBay. £30 and £15 respectively. They last about 4-6 months before what little sun we have dries the vinyl out, they crack/split and fall apart. I've also used tarps and they seem to fall apart like bio-degradable bags after a similar time. Seem to do a good job of scratching the paint up too.
I need to water proof and hide the cars cheaply. I can't justify lush £200 covers and anything of value gets stolen in an industrial estate anyway. I'm just curious what others in my situation have done to protect their projects outdoors?
