Anyone know of another supplier other than polybush.co.uk. Trying to find replacement bushes to tighten up the particuarly floppy front suspension on my w123.

Superflex.
I thought Powerflex were in administration? I've heard bad things about their longevity.

Indeed, hadn't realised they were so pricey. powerflex, polybush, and superflex don't have any parts listed for mine, only superflex have any mercedes car parts listed for a c class.

Superflex. I thought Powerflex were in administration? I've heard bad things about their longevity. I think its deflex that went into administration. I deal with a few polyurethane companies and most of them make and supply suspension bushes. The PU itself is very cheap its the tooling cost that ends up putting the price up. If its for something that will sell hundreds then the price can be dirt cheap. If its something that will only sell one off then the tooling costs all go onto that one part.

Give Noltec a look, it's an australian company I think, I used their softride bushes on my BMW 735 and they were pretty impressive. Bushy Bushy

I've used deflex in the past and have had to adjust a few bushes to get them to fit. Good to hear they're back though. A full set of deflex bushes for the escort came out at just under £100. It would have cost at least double that anywhere else. For the money i don't mind the extra time to fit them.

I used deflex on my mk1 escort as well and had no trouble. I fitted them at exactly the same time (and in the same garage)as my brother in law fitted superflex mk1 escort bushes to his dutton. There was very little difference in quality between the two and if you compared them back to back you would have been hard pushed to tell which was which.
I have also just been getting a sample at work of a single part Polyurethane liquid (normally two part containing isocyanates). Just need to knock a mould up for any bushes I need now. It can be cast onto metal using suitable primer as well so its ideal for diff mounts etc. Price is fairly cheap for what it is as well less than £10 a litre dropping to just over a fiver if I get it in 25 litre drums. Needs to be warmed up to 70 degree before use and the mould and curing takes place at 130 degree. They can do shore hardness between 30A (very soft) and 100A (almost plastic hard). Only comes in natural colour (which isnt a hardship really)

Cheers Stuyizz, looks like noltec may have come up trumps with some bushes for the lower arm of the front suspension, the one that fail and leave yer merc looking spreadeagled!

I got the cheapest ones on the market for my Anglia and apart from the sleeves being zinc plated rather than stainless there was no difference between them and the huuuuuuuugely expensive identical ones I put on my 100E.

how long have you run them? I have heard of a number of complaints on some of the cheaper bushes breaking up after like a few thousand road miles. Also that the compounds are a bit hard, and that they are more creak and squeak prone than the dearer ones.
TBH I have only used Superflex or Moog bushes so limmited comparison there
