As some of you know I went back to SA to do this 6200km plus motorbike ride with my brother in April.

One of the things SA has a lot of, is retro cars.
Amongst them, older Japanese stuff like Toyota Corona, Datsun pickups and Landcrusers that are used as daily drivers.
Here are a few more I saw, all at one dealers.
Prices are not as cheap as expected, as they are starting to increase in "classic" value and of course they will still be used.
Very rough Unimog
Needs a windscreen.
Anyone know where to find one, this guy really is struggling to find one.
A LOT OF BEIGE GOING ON HERE. But Beige used to be the silver of today in SA.
This was possibly one of the best Landcruisers of this vintage I ever saw.
Near Cape Town is a place called The Strand, saw these over there.
Fresh fish??
I also visited a farm and this was my view most of the weekend when not chasing ducks or riding a vintage farmbike
In SA, everything works.
Not sure if this rig would be allowed on the UK roads.
Older Mrc still earning its keep.
Seen in Durban. Nice.
Maybe a bit old for this board, except for Chevazon.
Shopping Centre Armed Response vehicle in Port Elizabeth.
Citi Golf.
Barefooted Car Mechanic in Cape Town.
He changes an engine in a day without breaking a sweat. This is currently V8 Rover powered.
Busy with my brother on the bike I was to ride through and around South Africa.
Driving school anybody ?
This is real and functioning.
One of the reasons cars survive so well over there is the sheer heat, and dry climate.
Note, this is late afternoon in Autumn, and the temperature still up there.
Moderns are interesting too.
Previous model Polo with a boot. Police and state departments love these.
New Polo Dune.
The sedan looks like a miniature Jetta, and is a real looker.
