it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

Umm too cheap I mean, you can get summat nice and smart for that money, but my white T top MR2 will be up for grabs and is ace summer fun, just thought worthy a mention. £3k may even get ya a supercharger or neat import.

;D Get a stunning one for that kind of money, with a screaming 2 litre 16 valve and anything from 130 to 180BHP and rear-drive.......and what an interior ;D and noise!

You know Danny?! He's a good mate of mine! Small world. He drove one of my Minis back here for me and is generally an all round top bloke!
I'd second a Mk1 MR2 - Quite light on insurance, quick and handle well. Do it. Do it.

That is awesometastic. When I was looking for my new car - these were my choices.. e30 BMW 318is - what I eventually picked Mazda RX7 - www.pistonheads.com/sales/123903.htm - awesome 2.0 Manta - Love these but hard to find. Starion - hard to find and find parts for! Late Black/grey Mk2 16v Golf GTI - FWD but like them alot Post 99 Pug 106gti - like these alot too but FWD. Mint 2.0 Laser Capri - RWD fun S2 Escort RS Turbo - like these alot too but most have been chavved. FWD Late 205gti 1.9 - Hard to find a nice one and FWD Rover 420 GSI Turbo/ 620Ti Obviously take the above and up engine sizes to suit - i had to stick to such small engines due to import duty and road tax costs..
